A Rich and Fruitful Land
For many years, there was a concern that the annual publication of the Okanagan Historical Society did not provide an overview of Okanagan history. The society decided to remedy this situation by enlisting former editor of the annual report, Jean Webber, and commissioning her with the task of using the past volumes of the society to create a single history.

The result was a folio-sized hard cover book, A Rich and Fruitful Land, published in 1999. It was dedicated to Dr. Margaret Ormsby, past editor of the society and former professor of history at the University of British Columbia. At over two hundred pages and numerous pictures, it has been very well received.
